The Man, The Myth, The Legend
Ron started this company back in the 1980’s (previously called Tri-County). As the company evolved and expanded, he decided to retire and hand over the reins to his son, Rick. However, retirement didn’t seem to be in his vocabulary, and he quickly returned to work. Currently, he works as our lead estimator. His reputation and integrity are incomparable, and we value his expertise and loyalty to the Great Lakes team.
Rich Halstead
Lead Technician
Rich has more than 30 years of experience in the HVAC field. He is a strong and steady leader in the field and is responsible for making our technicians the fantastic team they are. He has made the team stronger, more disciplined and keeps everything running like a well-oiled machine. His knowledge is priceless to our team.
Pete Place
Technician
Pete has been with our team for approximately 3 years. When he started, he had a basic knowledge of the HVAC field and specifically of the equipment we install and work on. However, over the last three years, Pete has gone above and beyond to learn and expand his knowledge of the HVAC field. Currently, he serves as our lead installation technician. He is tenacious and goes above and beyond for our customers. He continues to take classes to grow his HVAC knowledge so he can help our customers even more.
Dan Boyzuck

Dan is a recent hire, but he is no stranger to the HVAC field with over 30 years of experience. Dan is a go-getter and knows what is needed to get the job done and leave the customer highly satisfied. He is one of our more experienced employees, and it shows in the work he does.
Eithan Burlingham
Technician
Eithan is our newest hire. Eithan went to Alfred State, where he got his degree in HVAC and Plumbing. During his downtime, Eithan likes to take care of his two cats, two dogs, and watch basketball and UFC! We are excited to have Eithan on our team, and watch him grow in the HVAC field!
Emily Walters
Office Manager
Emily comes with office experience and a great attitude. Even though she is new to the HVAC field, she is not new to the office management title. When not at work, she is home spending time with her husband Christian and her son Gideon. She loves to read and bake, and we all enjoy getting her homemade goods brought to the office!

Our History
Tri-County Heating and Air Solutions was established in the early 1980’s by Ron Kistner. Prior to starting his own HVAC company, Ron and his family lived in Utica. He decided to move to Oswego and start his own HVAC business to fill a void in Oswego County and the neighboring areas.
In 2011, Ron decided it was time to retire and sold the business to his son, Rick, keeping the business in the family and maintaining the shining reputation they had developed over the years. Rick had been around Tri-County for most of his life and was working for them by the age of 14. Since he already knew the ins and outs of the business, the transition was seamless, and he continued to provide incredible service and customer satisfaction. Since taking over, Rick has continued to grow Tri-County and create a business that is based in tradition and customer satisfaction while striving to always use the newest technology and offer the latest services. As we transition to our new name, Great Lakes Heating and Air Solutions, we will continue to bring you the same great service we always have, while expanding the region we serve.
